Yesterday afternoon The Tour of Britain (Britains biggest cycle race) finished its is second leg with a huge crowd in Barnstaple, along The Strand, right outside our school entrance.
Our students were able to experience this amazing event along with swathes of cycling fans from across the country.
The second stage of the Tour Of Britain Cycle Race started in Cranbrook outside Exeter and after a tortuous 175km
route taking in parts of the North Devon coast, well known to all students and teachers who have been to SOL.
The event made an historic first as its route took the riders through a building, South Moltons Pannier Market.
Our students from Bolyai Gimnázium, Salgótarján, Hungary were lucky enough to witness first hand this memorable event in the Great British sporting Calendar
