News and events News Students Raise £276.17 for Comic Relief! SOL students from Hungary have raised an amazing £276.17 as part of Red Nose Day for Comic Relief. The students manned two stalls in Barnstaple. One group of students braved the blustery winds to sell cakes and tombola tickets to shoppers on Barnstaple High Street. The wonderful prizes all being Hungarian fayre brought to Devon by the students themselves and proved to be an eye catching stall. The other group of students offered cakes, teas and coffees sheltered inside St Peters and Mary Magdalene Church in the very heart of Barnstaple. The students decorated the bright and colourful cakes yesterday in lessons. Along with creating all the attractive tickets, flyers and posters. The group of students arrived last Sunday from Premontrei Szent Norbert Gimnázium in Gödöllő and from Garay János and Ökumenikus Primary schools and a Private Language School in nearby Fót, Hungary. With their amazing efforts and enthusiasm in raising money for Comic Relief, this group has made a sunny impact on Barnstaple this stormy March.
