SOL
is a non-profit organisation and registered UK charity set up in 1991 by its current Director.
It is committed to:
- Supporting teachers of English in their professional work.
- Providing the best value low-cost English language courses in the UK.
- Establishing partnerships with schools to enhance their students’ learning.
- Providing low cost language and methodology courses for teachers of English.
- Recruiting good quality native-speaker teachers for State schools and colleges.
- Being responsive to the various needs which arise in relation to ELT.
- Promoting a greater knowledge of Eastern Europe within the UK.
Whilst
SOL’s focus has been primarily on providing this support in Eastern & Central Europe, we welcome the opportunity to assist both teachers and learners of English from any other country. They will receive the same warm welcome.
What we do:
SOL
offers students the opportunity to improve their English skills within an intimate learning environment based in the safe and friendly market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford in the South West of England.
Our English language programmes have been designed to stimulate students both in the classroom and during their leisure time. We concentrate fully on increasing their confidence to USE real English.
Thanks to our location we can also offer students exciting activity options and visits that take advantage of the beach and countryside which will also give them a real insight into cultural life in Britain.
SOL’s teachers all hold recognised language-teaching qualifications. Our teachers are selected for experience and their ability to relate to students and to make language learning an active and rewarding process.
